Cannes Tourist Office/Cannes Convention Bureau would like to congratulate the three Cannes hotels which are among the top 20 winners in 2018 of the famous Traveller’s Choice awards, created by the site, TripAdvisor, by order: The Victoria (1st place in France with the best value for money for a 4-star hotel), the Cavendish (5th hotel in the cateogry, value for money for a 4-star hotel) and the Five Seas (20th best hotel in France and top hotel on the Côte d’Azur. in the category for best 5-star hotels).
Created in 2002, the Traveller’s Choice awards are the highest awards given out by TripAdvisor. It is the only award in the travel sector which is based on millions of reviews and opinions left by travellers throughout the world. The winners of the Traveller's Choice Award are selected every year from comments left by TripAdvisor’s members. These awards identify the most popular as well as the most exceptional hotels based on customer experiences.
This ranking takes into consideration the quality of the hospitality and services offered by the Cannes hoteliers and shows that they have been able to navigate the digital shift, and integral part of their marketing strategy. In a particularly competitive context, hotels in Cannes are striving to differentiate themselves by focusing on the quality of services and the level of services provided.
This is however not the first time the festival town has been rewarded for the quality of its hospitality: in November 2017, Cannes won the award for the best destination of the year in the Luxury Travel Guide Awards at the WorldTravelMarket in London. This comes as no surprise to specialists in the sector since the town has a particularly large and varied selection of hotels, with rates adapted to each market and more than 100 hotels, representing more than 5,500 rooms in the town centre.
