Cannes voted "Europe's Best Destination for Festivals and Events" for the 3rd year running

Building on its success in 2021 and 2022, Cannes has once again won the title of Europe's best destination for festivals and events at the World Travel Awards 2023, considered to be the Oscars of tourism.
Cannes came out on top, ahead of London, Barcelona, Budapest, Derry, Dublin, Madeira, Munich and Venice.

"Cannes shines again at the World Travel Awards, winning the title of "Europe's Best Destination for Festivals and Events in 2023" for the third year running. This distinction reinforces Cannes' status as a leader in European event tourism, propelling the Côte d'Azur towards flourishing economic horizons. In 2023, we are investing €80 million in major projects such as Les Allées de la Liberté, the modernisation of the La Malmaison art centre and, of course, the major renovation project for the Croisette, to improve the quality of life of residents and visitors alike and make the city ever more attractive. These ambitious initiatives reflect our determination to keep Cannes at the top of the international events scene.
David Lisnard, Mayor of Cannes

"This new recognition at the World Travel Awards rewards years of dedication and effort on the part of our teams at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes, as well as all our customers and partners working alongside us. This title also recognises our commitment and our actions as part of our mission to "Welcome the World Sustainably". In 2023, this dynamic will be reflected in a record year with over 150 events and almost 300,000 professionals welcomed to the Palais.
Jean-Michel Arnaud, President of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes
